Outer Woods – Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy

1. Scope & Applicability

  • This policy applies to all purchases made on the official Outer Woods website.
  • Orders placed via third-party marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.) will follow their respective return and refund policies.

2. Return Eligibility

You may request a return under the following conditions:

  • Product is damaged, defective, or not functioning as intended
  • Request is raised within 15 days of delivery

Required Conditions:

  • Product must be unused and in original condition
  • Must include original packaging, accessories, and invoice
  • Customer must provide clear images or video proof of the issue

3. Mandatory Unboxing Proof (Important)

  • Customers are strongly advised to record an unboxing video at the time of delivery
  • The video should clearly show:
    • Package condition before opening
    • Opening process
    • Product condition

⚠️ Note:

  • Claims related to missing items, physical damage, or wrong product may not be accepted without valid unboxing proof
  • This helps prevent fraudulent claims and ensures faster resolution

4. Non-Returnable Cases

Returns will not be accepted in the following situations:

  • Change of mind or personal preference
  • Minor variations in color/design due to screen differences
  • Damage caused due to misuse, mishandling, or improper storage
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Requests raised after 15 days from delivery

5. Return Process

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact us via:
  2. Provide:
    • Order ID
    • Description of the issue
    • Supporting images/videos
  3. After approval:
    • Reverse pickup will be arranged where serviceable
      OR
    • Customer may be requested to ship the product to our address

⚠️ Returns without prior approval will not be accepted


6. Reverse Shipping Responsibility

  • If the return is due to:
    • Defective / damaged / wrong product → Outer Woods bears shipping cost
  • If approved under exceptional cases (non-defect):
    • Customer may be required to bear return shipping charges

7. Refund / Replacement / Partial Refund

Once a return is approved, the following resolutions may be offered:

a) Full Refund

  • Applicable in case of confirmed defective/damaged product

b) Replacement

  • Subject to stock availability

c) Partial Refund (New Addition)

  • May be offered in cases of minor issues that do not affect core functionality
  • Helps provide faster resolution without requiring return

8. Refund Timeline

  • Refunds are processed within 5–7 working days after approval
  • Amount will be credited to:
    • Original payment method (for prepaid orders)
    • Bank transfer (for COD orders)

⚠️ Banks/payment gateways may take additional time to reflect the refund


9. Order Cancellation

  • Orders can be cancelled only before dispatch
  • Once shipped, cancellation requests will not be accepted

10. Undelivered / RTO (Return to Origin) Orders

  • If an order is undelivered due to:
    • Incorrect address
    • Customer unavailable
  • The company reserves the right to:
    • Re-ship (additional charges may apply), OR
    • Deduct shipping costs before refund

11. Warranty vs Return

  • Warranty is applicable separately (3–6 months depending on product)
  • Covers manufacturing defects only

Does NOT cover:

  • Wear & tear
  • Accidental or water damage
  • Improper usage

12. Bulk / B2B Orders (New Clause)

  • Orders placed in bulk quantity or for business purposes are classified as B2B transactions
  • For such orders:
    • Returns/refunds are not applicable unless there is a manufacturing defect
    • Any issues must be reported within 7 days of delivery
    • Resolution will be limited to replacement or repair only

13. Legal Compliance

This policy is designed in accordance with:

  • Consumer Protection Act, 2019
  • Consumer Protection (E-commerce) Rules, 2020

Customer Rights Covered:

  • Right to refund for defective products
  • Transparent timelines and communication
  • Protection against unfair trade practices

14. Limitation of Liability

  • Outer Woods shall not be liable for:
    • Delays caused by courier partners or unforeseen circumstances
    • Damage caused due to improper use of the product
